Needlepoint Finishing FAQ
What Does Finishing Include?
Each finish includes the materials and construction specified for that particular finishing style. Depending on the project, this may include backing fabric, padding, structural materials, hardware, and custom cording.
One complimentary blocking is included when your canvas is visibly skewed. Specialty materials, embellishments, additional blocking, and other custom options may be available for an additional charge.
How Long Does Finishing Take?
Our standard finishing time is approximately 8-10 weeks from the time your deposit is received.
Turnaround times are estimates and may vary depending on our current production volume, the complexity of your project, availability of materials, and seasonal demand. We take the time necessary to give each piece the attention and craftsmanship it deserves.
Do You Offer Rush Finishing?
No. Heirloom Needlepoint Finishing does not offer rush finishing.
Because each piece is individually finished by hand, we do not expedite projects ahead of other customers' work. If your needlepoint is intended for a holiday, birthday, wedding, or other special occasion, we recommend submitting it well in advance.
How Much Does Finishing Cost?
Finishing prices vary based on the size, style, complexity, materials, and construction requirements of each project.
Our pricing is based on an average labor rate of $50 per hour, with many of our standard finishing services priced by the size and type of finish.
